FAIRFIELD, IA – August 8, 2024 — Two Cambridge financial professionals earned honorable mention recognition in the 2024 Invest in Others Charitable Foundation awards. Jim Wessels of Vision Financial Group, and Stan Zurawski, Jr. of American Financial Services, will both receive a donation of $2,000 for their selected non-profit of choice. Both financial professionals were selected from hundreds of applicants by an Invest in Others judging panel for their leadership, dedication, and charitable contributions.
Invest in Others recognizes financial professionals who are making positive impacts in their community through charitable work. The program is in its 18th year, and financial professionals undergo a rigorous nomination and evaluation process, where a panel of judges assesses their leadership, dedication, contribution, inspiration, and impact on a non-profit and the community it serves. The program features five award categories: Catalyst, Community Service, Emerging Impact, Volunteer of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement. Winners will be announced at an awards gala in September.

- Jim Wessels | Honorable Mention, Lifetime Achievement Award
Wessels is a partner and financial advisor at Vision Financial Group in Des Moines, Iowa. He is representing Central Iowa Shelter & Service, where he serves on the Board of Directors as treasurer. Central Iowa Shelter & Service provides low-barrier shelter, meals, and support services at no cost to adults experiencing homelessness. This is Wessels third consecutive year earning the honorable mention status. Earlier this year, Wessels was named an Advisor of the Year (Midwest Region) by InvestmentNews1. - Stan Zurawski, Jr. | Honorable Mention, Catalyst Award
Zurawski is the president of American Financial Services in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Zurawski is recognized for his work with the Milwaukee Jazz Festival, producer of the annual Fresh Coast Jazz Festival since 2017. Zurawski’s philanthropy involves development, networking, donations, and pro bono guidance to help the non-profit fulfill its mission to benefit the education, arts, and healthcare in the Greater Milwaukee community.
