Episode 172: Forging the Path for Opportunity

Kelly Cartier of Cartier Financial

“Realize that you have to plan for those events you don’t want to plan for. I know if something were to happen to me and I had to be out of the office or I became incapacitated, I have a team that can still take care of the clients.”

For some, the journey into the financial services industry is accidental, but that wasn’t the case for Kelly Cartier of Cartier Financial. Thanks in part to guidance from her mother and grandmother, Kelly grew up determined to become a financial planner and help people manage their wealth. After working nearly 10 years at a local church preschool, Kelly went back to school, received her MBA, and became a financial professional. Over the next 12 years, Kelly excelled in different roles within the industry, but longed to create her own independent firm. In 2009, she founded Cartier Financial, a space where she could truly control her destiny and serve clients without restrictions. From financial guidance and wealth management to insurance services — Kelly believes every client’s journey is unique.

Don’t miss Episode 172: Forging the Path for Opportunity as Kelly Cartier joins Cambridge CEO Amy Webber to discuss:

  • Why Kelly ventured into the independent space
  • The steps she took to build her own practice
  • How previous roles in financial services prepared her as a business owner
