Cambridge Wins ThinkAdvisor LUMINARIES Award

Backed by Cambridge Stronger, Let’s Talk podcasts, firm honored with ThinkAdvisor’s Thought Leadership and Education award at Gotham Hall in New York City

FAIRFIELD, IA – November 29, 2023 — Cambridge, a leading independent financial solutions firm serving over 3,800 financial professionals around the country, was named the winner of the 2023 ThinkAdvisor LUMINARIES award in the firm-wide category of Thought Leadership and Education (Broker-Dealers) last night at Gotham Hall in New York City. One of five finalists for the award, Cambridge was selected by an independent judging panel1 consisting of 16 high-ranking industry professionals. Hundreds of entries were received from firms around the industry, and finalists were selected in June.

Cambridge’s thought leadership efforts include its Cambridge Stronger podcast, a series hosted by CEO Amy Webber that welcomes financial professionals as guests to discuss industry trends affecting financial services while offering practical guidance and insight to those considering a career in the business. New episodes are released bi-weekly and feature topics including digital technology, business building, growth strategies, recruiting, diversity and inclusion, and more.

Based on advisor feedback, Cambridge in 2022 produced a second podcast series called ‘Let’s Talk.’ Hosted by Val Vest, Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer, and Jeff Wick, Vice President of Client Solutions, the internal-facing series offers financial professionals the opportunity to learn more about various Cambridge resources. Episodes are 15-20 minutes in length and feature department leaders from around the firm as they share information about their key offerings.

Other educational resources include the firm’s collection of whitepapers and thought pieces, as well as its Market Commentary Newsletter, a weekly report sent to financial professionals that covers the latest news, data, activity, and trends happening in the investing markets.

Now in its third year, the LUMINARIES awards program recognizes individuals and firms that are pioneering positive change in the advice industry. The LUMINARIES program is an evolution of the ThinkAdvisor Broker-Dealer of the Year awards program, which was retired after 2020. Cambridge received the Broker-Dealer of Year Award in its respective size category 13 times2, making it the most honored firm in the history of the award.
