From the Army and Pennsylvania National Guard to corporate America – Chris Raup’s journey into the financial services industry has taken many turns. He originally had dreams of a career as an Army officer, but budget cuts brought him back to the Pennsylvania National Guard. As Chris began looking for a place to call home in corporate America, his entrepreneurial spirit continued to inspire him to break out on his own. Now, Chris serves as president and CEO of Ascend Wealth Consulting and focuses on sharing his passion for financial literacy with his clients and community. He has a B.S. in Management Science from Lock Haven University, a certified Leadership and Performance Coaching Certificate from Brown University and is a UESCA Certified Endurance Running Coach. He holds FINRA Series 7, 66, 24, 6, and 63 licenses, life, health, long-term care, and disability insurance licenses, and Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF®) designation from The American College. Chris and his team strive to provide customized solutions to clients who desire personal growth and a true partnership with their financial advisor.
As a retired U.S. Army Officer and multi-conflict Combat Veteran, he recognizes that clients look to him and his team for leadership and inspiration to explore their “Infinite Potential.” He fully understands how precious each day is and the freedom of a life’s journey where values and opportunity align.
In his role as Founder of the Wounded Warrior Patrol, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation, he works aggressively to help combat veterans prevail through their physical and psychological injuries. His passion for recreational therapy is based on his personal journey and experiences.
Chris splits his time between PA and CO and is passionate about exploring the mountains and wilderness areas. Whether training with friends or testing his limits in a trail race, he is committed to leading by example, challenging himself and others, and building relationships where he can have a positive impact.
