Cambridge Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct aligns with our values of integrity, commitment, flexibility, and kindness, and reflects the inclusion and consideration we expect from every member of Cambridge Nation when interacting with another member of our Cambridge Community.

Our Code of Conduct is to be honored at our conferences, events, and other business related interactions by all of Cambridge Nation, including: home office associates, independent financial professionals and advisors, event staff, moderators, organizers, speakers, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers.

Our purpose, values, and desire for inclusion has long been the basis for how we engage with each other, and we expect everyone engaging with our Cambridge community to treat each other with respect and professionalism. This means we must each continually strive to reflect our shared values through the following:

  • Be kind: Discuss, debate, and disagree civilly and professionally while striving to listen and understand

  • Be inclusive: Greet and welcome new and existing attendees while striving to engage and network

  • Be open: Embrace new ideas, information, and perspectives, as well as new voices while striving to value independent choice and individual thinking

  • Be professional: Keep commitments, use appropriate language, be thoughtful, exercise caution with intended humor, and behave ethically while displaying a positive attitude

  • Be respectful: Each of us holds unique experiences, perspectives, and expectations about personal boundaries, confidentiality and privacy, and so on, meaning we each must strive to understand others as well as ourselves while striving to be considerate and appropriate

Cambridge senior executives and other members of staff will enforce this code. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everyone. We appreciate all choosing to join us at these collaborative events – together we make a difference with our culture of respect and inclusion.

Uncomfortable or Unwelcome Situations and Harassment: As a community, Cambridge is dedicated to creating a welcoming experience for everyone. Uncomfortable or unwelcome situations and harassment may include: offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, ancestry, religion, non-religious beliefs, sexualized images, materials, commentary, or activities in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate and/or uncomfortable physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the staff may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund, if applicable.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed or subject to unwelcome behavior, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the Cambridge team immediately. Cambridge will investigate all incidents reported. Cambridge reserves the right to bar any person who violates our Code of Conduct from attending Cambridge events in whole or in part; and in extreme situations, affiliation with Cambridge may be terminated.
