FAIRFIELD, IA – September 23, 2022 – Cambridge recognizes independent financial professionals – Kristen Hafner, David Nelson, and Jen Schaefer – as the 2022 Spirit of Cambridge Award honorees. Each year Cambridge honors three financial professionals for reflecting shared core values in the service they provide to their clients. Cambridge home office associates vote to select three award recipients from a pool of outstanding financial professionals who have been affiliated with Cambridge for at least 10 years. As part of the recognition for their contribution to culture, values and service, Cambridge makes a donation on their behalf to a charity of their choice.
Kristen Hafner is the founder, president, and head financial planner of Financial Moxie, located in Westlake Village, California and Fairfield, Iowa. She joined Cambridge in 2009 and has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. Kristen selected Raising Hope in Thousand Oaks, California for her charitable contribution. Raising Hope empowers teens and young adults experiencing foster care through mentoring, life skills, financial support, and advocacy.
David Nelson is the president and CEO of NelsonCorp Wealth Management, located in Clinton, Davenport, and Dubuque, Iowa. David joined Cambridge in 2011 and has more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. David selected the Prince of Peace School Foundation in Clinton, Iowa for his charitable contribution. The foundation provides funds to the Prince of Peace Catholic School for financial aid, staff development, capital improvements, and other school needs.
Jen Schaefer is president and a financial advisor at Capital Advisors, located in Pflugerville, Texas. She joined Capital Advisors in 2006 and helps both small businesses and individuals find solutions for their specific needs ranging from retirement planning and insurance needs. Jen selected the Austin Diaper Bank in Austin, Texas for her charitable contribution. They provide diapers to Central Texas families who need a clean, reliable supply of diapers for a healthy and comfortable quality of life.

The Spirit of Cambridge Award is given annually to independent financial professionals who are dedicated to serving their clients while reflecting Cambridge’s core values of integrity, commitment, flexibility, and kindness.
