Andrea Shafer joined Cambridge in 2007 and has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. In her role, Shafer is responsible for leading and overseeing the Advocacy and Supervision Team, and providing guidance for legal and regulatory issues while developing and executing overall strategic planning for the firm. She has been responsible for long-term strategic planning efforts and has overseen Cambridge’s Regulatory Affairs and Advocacy and Supervision teams with a focus on risk mitigation. She has also served as a facilitator for the Cambridge Community of Women, a sponsor for the Cambridge Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion Committee, and as chair for the Cambridge Conflicts Committee. Shafer was named an InvestmentNews 40 Under 40 honoree in 2022. She holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law in addition to her FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses.
