Lisa Sappenfield Boyer Named WIFS Woman of the Year Nominee

Sappenfield Boyer is one of eight finalists for the award, which will announce a winner on September 30

FAIRFIELD, IA – September 22, 2022 — Cambridge is pleased to announce that Lisa Sappenfield Boyer — a CFP® and Investment Advisor Representative at Boyer and Sappenfield Investment Advisors in Arcola, Illinois — was named one of eight nominees for the 2022 Women in Financial Services (WIFS) Woman of the Year award. The Woman of the Year award recognizes a WIFS member for her overall level of engagement and commitment to the organization. A WIFS judging panel reviewed nominations submitted in July before selecting a final group of nominees. The award winner will be determined by a vote at the WIFS Awards and Accolades Luncheon on September 30 in Phoenix, Arizona.

“I’ve always been impressed with Lisa’s passion for helping women advance in this industry,” said Cambridge CEO, Amy Webber. “She actively looks for ways to mentor and empower women around the profession, and her dedication to WIFS is a reflection of her commitment to this important area. Lisa is very deserving of this recognition and I’m proud to call her a friend and colleague.”

Sappenfield Boyer originally joined WIFS in 1992 and has been a consistent member of the organization since 2001. She was a mentee in the WIFS Mentorship Program in 2006 and now offers her support to young women getting started in the industry. Sappenfield Boyer’s contributions to WIFS include her work with the Project '36 Pillar 1 Work Group, a program focused on attracting more women to careers in financial services. Through her work with Project ’36, she continues to make an impact on the development and advancement of women in the insurance and financial services industry.

Visit the WIFS website for more information on all eight finalists.
