Cody Phelps, Audrey Hixson Named InvestmentNews Rising Stars

Phelps, Hixson recognized as industry-leading professionals under the age of 40

FAIRFIELD, IA – October 13, 2025 — Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. (“Cambridge”) is pleased to announce that two individuals associated with the firm have been named to this year’s InvestmentNews Rising Stars list, which recognizes top financial services leaders under the age of 40. Cody Phelps, Field Vice President of Jordan Creek Financial Solutions, and Audrey Hixson, Assistant Vice President of Service Experience at Cambridge, were selected for their significant contributions to the industry. Both individuals were profiled in the Rising Stars report on InvestmentNews.com and in this month’s edition of InvestmentNews Magazine.

Formerly the InvestmentNews 40 Under 40 Awards, the Rising Stars report recognizes industry leaders under the age of 40 who are making a measurable impact in financial services. All Rising Star award recipients were selected by an independent judging panel that evaluated nominees based on current role and responsibilities, key career achievements, contributions to the industry at large.

Cody Phelps is the Field Vice President and Enterprise Leader at Jordan Creek Financial Solutions, an independent financial firm based in Des Moines, Iowa. With more than 15 years of experience in financial services, Phelps is passionate about creating an environment where advisors feel supported, equipped, and inspired to grow their businesses and serve clients with confidence. After serving in positions such as advisor, trader, and VP of Business Development, he was named head of Jordan Creek in 2019. Under his direction, the firm is recognized for its strong advisor support model, including in-house planning and investment resources, forward-looking recruitment efforts, and a commitment to long-term succession planning. Phelps holds multiple FINRA licenses and is a graduate of Central College in Iowa.

Audrey Hixson is Assistant Vice President of Service Experience at Cambridge and has held diverse roles across service, operations, and compliance since joining the firm in 2006. Today, she works with Cambridge's Service Experience teams, helping shape personalized, relationship-driven service models. Outside of her core responsibilities, she chairs Cambridge’s Associate Engagement Committee, where she helped launch the firm’s Something Wonderful Awards and updated its Years of Service program. She also serves on Cambridge’s Senior Leadership Council and sits on Fidelity’s Service Experience and Money Movement Advisory Board. Hixson holds FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses, is a certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and is a Registered Corporate Coach™. She has also completed Cambridge’s Aspiring Leaders, Embedded Leaders, and Leadership Development programs.

Finalists were chosen based on nominations and winners were selected by an independent judging panel, which included Cambridge's President of Innovation and Experience, Colleen Bell.
