About Jamie Mattioli

Financial Advisor, River City Financial

Jamie Mattioli is an accomplished financial advisor with more than 15 years of industry experience, beginning his career in 2009 with roles at Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo Advisors, and Northwestern Mutual. In 2020, Jamie founded River City Financial, making the move to independence to build a practice grounded in trust and lasting client relationships. He also serves as a registered principal with Enterprise Financial Network, an OSJ with a significant national footprint. In 2021, Jamie was selected to join the Practice Management Advisory Council for Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., where he completed a full council term.

A longtime Richmond resident since the age of six, Jamie is deeply connected to the community. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Virginia Commonwealth University and his MBA from the University of Richmond. Outside of his professional work, he has supported local causes that matter to him, including serving on the Boards of Directors for both Family Lifeline, a Richmond non-profit founded in 1877, and Heart Havens, another Richmond-based non-profit organization.

Jamie and his wife, Courtney, live in Richmond with their three daughters – Kendall, Hudson, and Windsor – and their two Samoyeds, Barksdale and Nico.

At River City Financial, Jamie’s philosophy is simple: investing and financial planning should be as unique as the individuals, families, and businesses he serves. He takes the time to understand each client’s goals, providing thoughtful, personalized guidance rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Every decision is made with the client’s best interest at heart.
