Mark Thornton has more than 30 years of experience in the retirement market, and has worked with both plans and participants in the public and private sectors. Mark joined Cambridge in 2010 and is a member of the Client Solutions Team, where he is a Senior Director and is responsible for managing relationships with recordkeepers, as well as consulting on all retirement plan-related topics.
In addition to supporting Cambridge financial professionals and their clients in planning for retirement, Mark’s time outside of work is spent serving others as well. He is co-founder and board president of Carry On Bags, a 501(c)(3) that provides nutritional food bags to students in the Fairfield, Iowa area. He can often be found on the sidelines officiating sports for local high schools. Outside of work and community activities, Mark enjoys spending time with his three daughters and his grandchildren.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science Education degree in social science from Northwest State University. He holds the FINRA Series 6, 7, 26, 63, and 65 licenses.
