About Tony Diar Bakerli

Tony Diar Bakerli, born and raised in Damascus, Syria, comes from a family of television pioneers—his father was a director and producer, while his mother was a writer and director. He earned a Bachelor of Mathematical Science and a Master’s in Global Finance and Business Commerce from the University of Lebanon in Beirut.

Tony's business career began in Europe, with assignments in the Far East and Africa. Moving to the U.S. in 1993, he held roles at Hyatt Corporation, Stefanie’s Group, and Rezko Enterprise. In 2002, he joined Sodexho Alliance as General Manager, later becoming District Manager in 2005, overseeing sales, development, and operations on the East Coast. He then transitioned to Wells Fargo, first in Home Mortgage, managing portfolio initiatives, and later at Wells Fargo Advisors, helping clients develop investment plans.

Since October 2017, Tony has served as Managing Director and CFO of T2 Global Advisors, focusing on tailored financial solutions for businesses, business owners, and family wealth.

A Chicago resident for 27 years, Tony is passionate about sailing and has competed in prestigious races, including the Chicago to Mackinac race. He is also dedicated to community development and supporting local Chicago charities.
