About Rob Young

Rob Young has seen a lot since he started in the financial services industry in early 1997. During that time, he held the roles of Senior Equity and Options Trader and Regional Manager at SunAmerica Securities, and, from 2004 to 2016, as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. In 2016, Rob founded Blue Dot Wealth Management so that he could create a firm that was client focused and aligned with his values. He’s witnessed good markets and bad, and if there is one thing he’s learned, it’s the optimists usually win. His own family’s financial experiences have informed his focus and planning philosophy, which is why Rob helps clients no matter where they are in their own journey. He is an advocate for his clients and loves being a resource for them. Rob specializes in succession planning, planning for special-needs family members, socially responsible investing, and retirement planning for families, artists, and entrepreneurs.

Rob loves spending time with his wife, Regina, and three children - Quinn, Piper, and Barrett (who is on the Autism spectrum). He is an avid reader, musician, and collector of music. He enjoys a good cup of coffee, building furniture, and numerous outdoor activities including hiking, backpacking, and snowboarding. The family travels quite a bit both domestically and internationally and is always looking for their next adventure. Rob supports the Surfrider Foundation, the FC Cancer Foundation, and locally - Arizona Autism United and Friends for Life Animal Shelter.

Rob holds FINRA Series 4, 7, 24, and 66 licenses and various insurance licenses.
