FAIRFIELD, IA – June 25, 2026 — Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. (“Cambridge”), a leading independent financial solutions firm serving 4,100 advisors nationwide, today announced that CEO Amy Webber has been named CEO of the Year by InvestmentNews. Presented at last night’s InvestmentNews Awards ceremony in New York City, the award recognizes exceptional leadership and contributions to the financial services industry. Winners in all categories were selected by an independent panel of seven judges.1
“It’s an incredible honor to receive this recognition from InvestmentNews,” said Webber. “While my name may be on the award, it really belongs to the entire Cambridge Nation community. Every day, our associates, advisors, partners, and sponsors work together to create Something Wonderful. I’m grateful for their dedication and am excited about what lies ahead as we continue finding new ways to serve independent advisors and help them succeed.”
Hired as Cambridge’s 22nd associate in 1998, Webber served in a variety of high-ranking roles before becoming just the second CEO in the firm’s 45-year history, succeeding Founder Eric Schwartz in 2016. Outside of her responsibilities as CEO, she has served multiple terms on the Financial Services Institute’s (FSI) Board of Directors, helped establish successful initiatives such as Cambridge’s Community of Women (CCW), New Century Council, and The Next Step® internship program, and delivers valuable industry insights through her biweekly Cambridge Stronger podcast series.
The award continues a strong run of momentum for both Webber and Cambridge. A widely respected leader in financial services, Webber was named ThinkAdvisor’s Executive of the Year in 20242, WealthManagement.com’s CEO of the Year in 20223, and received the InvestmentNews Lifetime Achievement Award4 in the same year. Under her leadership, Cambridge has tripled its revenue and assets under advisement (AUA), set back-to-back recruiting records in 2024-25, and expanded its position as one of the industry's leading independent financial solutions firms. Webber’s leadership was the subject of a recent InvestmentNews cover story.
