FAIRFIELD, IA – August 16, 2023 – Cambridge’s 12^th The Next Step^® internship class is graduating after another successful summer. The program was designed to develop the financial service’s next generation of talent. Cambridge received hundreds of applications for the program and welcomed 34 students from various educational backgrounds and institutions across the company.

Students worked in the Fairfield, Iowa and Phoenix, Arizona offices across a variety of teams in full-time, paid internship roles. Community service projects were also completed in both locations. Program members shadowed Cambridge associates, contributed to key initiatives across the company, and deepened their understanding of industry basics and trends. During their final week of the program, they presented final projects to colleagues across the firm.

In previous years, several interns have returned for multiple summers, while others have gone on to work in various financial services positions across the country. Many students who participate in the program return to Cambridge as full-time associates. The Next Step internship program is valuable in the development of the next generation of talent in the financial services industry.
