FAIRFIELD, IA – October 8, 2018 – Cambridge announced that independent financial professionals have given Cambridge an advisor satisfaction rating of 9 out of 10. Cambridge’s annual advisor satisfaction survey is integral to the firm’s commitment to delivering an experience of service excellence to advisors and their investing clients. Over 3,200 financial advisors choose Cambridge for financial solutions and services, and they serve hundreds of thousands of investing clients across the country through their independent businesses.
“We concentrate on serving and supporting financial professionals with an independent mindset and our annual advisor satisfaction rating is an important metric we carefully consider every year in our strategic planning process as we strive to make a difference,” said Amy Webber, Cambridge’s President and CEO. In place for many years, Cambridge’s stated purpose is to make a difference in the lives of advisors, their clients, and associates.
Webber noted, “Our high standards must always move even higher, but earning a 9 of 10 satisfaction rating in 2018, together with being voted Broker-Dealer of the Year¹ and a Top Workplace² represents what we see as an important satisfaction trifecta as measured by advisors and associates. We are in the business of serving those who serve others, and we are grateful for their confidence, trust, appreciation, and perhaps most importantly, our shared sense of purpose and values.”
Webber continued, “Cambridge has achieved this recognition by listening to our advisors’ thoughtfully, focusing on the advisor experience, and defining what matters most to them, including the experience of their investing clients.” Following are highlights of this strategic approach and the intent to continually optimize the Cambridge experience for advisors and their clients.
Digital Operational Transformation
Cambridge is first and foremost always focused on delivering digital solutions to support independent advisors in their efforts to be more efficient and effective in all that they do in serving their clients. Currently, fine-tuning the traditional paperwork process in a more digitized approach with increased efficiencies for everyone involved in the paperwork process – from client to their advisor and Cambridge – is a priority. Short-term objectives include aggressive goals to significantly reduce turnaround times from those of the general industry norms, and at the same time increase quality of the client experience. Cambridge’s total digital experience includes plans regarding upcoming releases of additional direct-to-investor capabilities that will be optional for advisors such as a digital account open experience, advisor and client texting features, and a dedicated investor portal.

¹ Cambridge is pleased to report Investment Advisor magazine announced the firm as a 2018 Broker-Dealer of the Year in Division IV1, the division representing independent broker-dealers with more than 1,000 producing advisors. This recognition is based on advisor satisfaction as the honor is based on the results of an annual poll of advisors conducted by the magazine earlier this year. Cambridge has earned this honor for the 11th time, previously being recognized in 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2010, 2008, and 2007 as Broker-Dealer of the Year in Division IV and in 2003 for Division III. Cambridge is the only firm honored with being recognized 11 times as a Broker-Dealer of the Year, and this honor is based on receiving advisor feedback in 15 categories from the Broker-Dealer of the Year awards criteria. Independent financial advisors cast ballots, and the broker-dealers that gained the highest composite scores were awarded the honors in four different divisions based on their number of producing advisors. The Broker-Dealer of the Year is profiled in Investment Advisor’s September 2018 print issue and in the digital edition posted online via ThinkAdvisor.com.

A broker-dealer becomes eligible for this honor only after a minimum of 10% of its producing rep-advisors cast valid ballots. The ballots rate the broker-dealer in 15 different categories defined by Investment Advisor as relevant challenges and concerns. Broker-dealers receiving the highest marks in each of four divisions are declared Broker-Dealer of the Year. Results are based on experiences and perceptions of participants surveyed in June of each of the years listed. Experience may vary. ² Cambridge is pleased to announce it has been recognized as a top workplace in Iowa for the eighth consecutive year. Sponsored by The Des Moines Register, the 2018 Top Workplaces in Iowa award listed Cambridge as the seventh best workplace for large companies that employ over 500 associates. Cambridge would like to thank their more than 800 associates for this honor as it represents a unified vote of satisfaction and confidence. This achievement is made possible by the hard work and dedication of all Cambridge associates and the key role they play in serving those who serve others. As one of the largest and fastest growing companies in southeast Iowa, Cambridge draws a majority of its associates from a six-county region and is home to associates from an additional 14 counties across the state as well as nationally. The Top Workplaces in Iowa recognition is determined by associate feedback through an anonymous survey conducted by Energage, formerly Workplace Dynamics LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and associate engagement. The Top Workplaces in Iowa associate survey focused on three critical aspects of the workplace, including: engagement – an assessment of how associates feel about working at the company overall, organizational health – an assessment of the fundamentals of the company, and satisfaction – an assessment of the day-to-day job.
