Cambridge has been recognized as a Top Workplace in Iowa for the ninth consecutive year. Sponsored by The Des Moines Register, the 2019 Top Workplaces award ranked Cambridge as the ninth top workplace in Iowa among large companies that employ more than 500 associates. Cambridge is one of six organizations that has been named a Top Workplace in Iowa every year since the award’s inception in 2011.
“We are honored to be selected as a Top Workplace in Iowa by our associates for the ninth consecutive year,” said President and CEO, Amy Webber. “At Cambridge, we are intent on creating a strong culture of service and servant leadership – both for our associates as well as the independent advisors we serve – and it’s rewarding to receive this positive feedback from our home office staff. Our purpose is to make a difference in the lives of our advisors, their clients, and our associates. This is why Cambridge exists. This honor validates that we are headed in the right direction.”
The announcement comes after an awards reception was hosted by The Des Moines Register, where all of the 2019 Iowa Top Workplace honorees gathered to celebrate. This latest recognition stands alongside Cambridge recently being named a Division IV Broker-Dealer of the Year1 by Investment Advisor magazine for the 12th time.
Webber continued, “We know that our associates are among our most valuable assets, and without them, we would have zero chance of achieving our goal of making a difference in our advisor’s lives. The relationship between our associate and advisor satisfaction shown in the results of these two surveys tells us that we are succeeding in reaching that goal.”
While continuing to be one of the largest and fastest growing organizations in southeast Iowa, Cambridge draws a majority of its associates from a six-county region surrounding its home office in Fairfield, and is home to associates from an additional 14 counties across the state and nationally.
The Top Workplaces in Iowa recognition is determined by associate feedback through an anonymous survey conducted by Energage, an independent research company. The survey is focused on three critical aspects of the workplace: engagement – an assessment of how associates feel about working at the company overall, organizational health – an assessment of the fundamentals of the company, and satisfaction – an assessment of the day-to-day job.

The ballots rate the broker-dealer in 15 different categories defined by Investment Advisor as relevant challenges and concerns. Broker-dealers receiving the highest marks in each of four divisions are declared Broker-Dealer of the Year.
