FAIRFIELD, IA – January 28, 2019 – Cambridge is pleased to announce the firm will be working closely with The W Source™ to further support women in the advice industry. Cambridge anticipates working with The W Source to encourage intentional networking and community-building between professional women. Through the W Source, Cambridge women advisors have the opportunity to expand their presence within their communities by creating networks of women professionals whose businesses complement one another and provide opportunities to meet prospective clients through referrals.
The W Source is a unique female-centric networking group interested in connecting with female advisors who are committed, engaged, and passionate about growth. They help women professionals grow their businesses through networking groups of 20 to 25 professionals in local areas. The organization, which was launched in 2017, provides educational resources, marketing support, and dedicated sales coaches that assist women in running their local chapters. Chapters are generally led by financial advisors with additional professional members such as CPAs, attorneys, and risk management specialists.
Cambridge Community of Women
The Cambridge Community of Women is about encouraging more women professionals to engage in the advice industry, not fewer men. The community was formalized in 2011 with the intent of supporting women in the advice industry. Cambridge women advisors are represented in Cambridge’s Leader’s Club, Signature Club, and Premier Club – and hold representative roles on many Cambridge Advisory Councils. These independent women advisors and independent business owners position Cambridge in the top 5 firms for highest percentage of women advisors in the industry1.; however, the Cambridge Community of Women continues to be focused on bringing even more women into our industry, helping more women move into leadership roles, and empowering more women to seize opportunity and thrive.
